NURA USA LLC Supplier Code of Conduct

  1. Purpose and Scope

NURA USA LLC (“NURA”) is committed to conducting business ethically, transparently, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This Supplier Code of Conduct (“Code”) establishes the minimum standards that all suppliers of raw materials, ingredients, and services (“Suppliers”) must uphold in their operations and throughout their supply chains.  Our goal is to ensure that every ingredient we source is produced, processed, and delivered responsibly with respect for people, the environment, and the integrity of our products.

  1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the countries where they operate, as well as all relevant U.S. laws and regulations governing the import, sale or distribution of ingredients/products to NURA.  This Includes, but not limited to:

  • Complying with all applicable local, national, and international laws, including those governing food safety, labor, environment, trade, and anti-corruption.
  • Maintaining all required licenses, permits, and certifications relevant to the production and sale of food ingredients.
  • Adhering to all import/export controls, sanctions, and anti-bribery regulations.
  • Notify NURA immediately of any applicable trade sanctions, embargoes, or duties that may affect product supply and cost.
  1. Food Safety and Quality Standards

Suppliers are required to:

  • Comply with recognized food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, BRC, SQF, or equivalent).
  • Meet agreed product specifications and labeling requirements.
  • Maintain a documented Food Safety Management System and ensure full traceability of raw materials.
  • Provide Certificates of Analysis (COA), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and other product documentation as required.
  • Immediately report any non-conformance, contamination, or recall situation to the Company.
  • Cooperate fully with NURA’s QA/QC audits and corrective action requests.
  1. Ethical Business Practices

Suppliers shall:

  • Conduct business with integrity, avoiding all forms of corruption, bribery, extortion, or embezzlement.
  • Not offer or accept improper payments, gifts, or favors to influence business decisions.
  • Accurately represent their business practices, products, and services in all records and communications.
  • Protect all confidential information and intellectual property shared by the Company.
  • Immediately disclose any potential or actual conflicts.
  1. Labor and Human Rights

Suppliers must uphold:

  • Freely chosen employment: No use of forced, bonded, or child labor.
  • Fair wages and working hours: Compliance with all local wage laws, benefits and working time regulations.
  • Non-discrimination: Prohibit harassment, abuse and discrimination in any form
  • Safe and healthy working conditions: Providing safe, hygienic and non-discriminatory workplaces.
  • Freedom of association: Respect for employees’ rights to form and join organizations of their choosing.
  1. Environmental and Sustainability Responsibility

Suppliers are expected to:

  • Operate in an environmentally responsible manner and comply with all applicable environmental laws.
  • Minimize waste, emissions, and energy consumption during production and transportation.
  • Implement systems to reduce environmental impact, such as recycling, water conservation, and responsible chemical management.
  • Avoid use of ingredients derived from illegal, unsustainable, or endangered sources.
  • Support sustainable sourcing of agricultural and marine raw materials.
  1. Animal Welfare

Suppliers providing animal-derived ingredients must ensure:

  • Animals are treated humanely, in compliance with recognized animal welfare standards.
  • No sourcing from operations involved in inhumane or illegal treatment of animals.
  1. Product Authenticity and Traceability

Suppliers must:

  • Ensure products are authentic, unadulterated, and correctly labeled.
  • Maintain traceability systems for all raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Promptly notify the Company in case of any fraudulent, adulterated, or counterfeit product concerns.
  1. Documentation and Audit Rights

Nura reserves the right to audit or inspect supplier facilities (on-site or virtual), review documentation, or request corrective actions to ensure compliance with this Code.  Suppliers must maintain accurate records demonstrating compliance.  Failure to comply may result in corrective actions, suspension, or termination of business relationships.

  1. Reporting Concerns

Suppliers and their employees are encouraged to report any unethical or unsafe practices related to this Code to contact@nurausa.com. Reports will be handled confidentially and without retaliation.

  1. Acknowledgment and Continuous Improvement

  • By conducting business with the Company, Suppliers acknowledge their commitment to this Code and agree to continuously improve their practices in line with these principles.
